Art Works was established in 1987 as a service bureau for artists. Our firm enjoys dedicated relationships with thousands of artists locally as well as nationally and around the globe. Art Works provides just about any service that can aid an artist’s career. Promotional printing, design, layout, research and development, reproduction, editing and enhancement, catalog and book packaging are among the many technical services offered by Art Works and executed with unparalleled expertise.
At Art Works we are uniquely suited to fulfill your fine art digital reproduction needs including digital capture, scanning, retouching, “giclée” (digital) proofing and printing. Now you can afford to publish your work on a print-as-needed basis. There is no need to create and warehouse large quantities of prints, keeping the initial investment reasonable. Your initial investment is low, since start-up and production costs are substantially less than traditional printing methods.
Our state-of-the-art direct digital camera capture yields exceptional digital color and detail. Used in conjunction with our color management software, our digital capture system produces highly accurate renditions of color, texture, and detail. We currently use a BetterLight Super 6, which can produces up to a 309MB file, and a Hasselblad 555ELD with a Phase P30+ digital back.
At Art Works we proudly offer custom design and digital restoration services. We will work with you on a variety of projects including designing business cards, catalogs, books, and antique restoration.
For digital editing (including scaling, resizing, cropping, retouching digital restoration, dust spotting and color correcting) we charge system time. System time will be billed at a rate of $125 per hour in 15-minute increments.
We are proud to represent a select number of artists who we have worked with during the course of the last 25 years. Each edition is small in size and meets the highest quality industry standards for art reproduction. Every print in the edition is hand signed and numbered by the artist. Most of our editions are printed on archival 100% rag watercolor paper. We hope you enjoy these wonderful pieces of art as much as we do!
