Proofs
Proofing is the process whereby the client is presented with a representative print for approval prior to the printing of an edition. Before your edition can be printed, a signed final proof must be in the possession of Art Works Fine Art Publishing. The scanning price includes 2 rounds of proofing. Additional individual proofs are $40 each plus production charges (i.e. system time), if any. The signed proof and digital file are the property of Art Works Fine Art Publishing.
Digital Formats
Digital files (e.g., EPS, CT, etc.) submitted for printing must be in RGB or grayscale (for black and white). For best results a resolution of 300 dpi at 100% final output size is recommended. We support the following : Adobe Photoshop, Quark, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Pagemaker. Mac and PC. All fonts and supporting files must be included. Please no “true-type” fonts
Note: files processed at AWFAP may not yield similar results on different IRIS systems.
Additional Production Charges
System time will be billed at $125 per hour in 15 min increments. This includes items such as: scaling of a digital file, transferring a file to digital media (cost of media additional), “ripping” a digital file, conversion of a digital file, removing signatures, color correction, digital retouching, etc. Art Works Fine Art Publishing always strives to give you the best estimate of your production costs up front.
Copyright
Art Works Fine Art Publishing does not allow additional prints of an image to be made for any reason without the explicit permission of the client or the authorized agent thereof. Art Works Fine Art Publishing keeps an archived digital copy of your approved image for your convenience.
Terms
All pricing is F.O.B. Art Works Fine Art Publishing, Pasadena. Shipping and all associated costs are the financial responsibility of the client. We cannot be responsible for damages incurred in shipping. Pre-press charges are payable on receipt of job order. Printing charges are scheduled as follows: 50% on starting and 50% on completion (COD), unless otherwise arranged. If for any reason the the client cancels the job after scanning and proofing the image, the client is responsible for the corresponding scanning and proofing charges.
